Cefuroxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic that fights against the bacteria in your body. It is a generic drug and is prescribed to treat infections with susceptible bacteria including skin and middle ear infections, throat infections, tonsillitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, bronchitis, laryngitis, and gonorrhea.

Also, tell your doctor if you are allergic to the mentioned ingredients in cefuroxime tablets or suspension. Ask your pharmacist for the list of the ingredients.
