Amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium is a combination of prescription antibiotic.

Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic that fights the bacteria in the body. Clavulanate potassium is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that helps to prevent certain bacteria from becoming resistant to amoxicillin.

Get immediate medical help if you see any signs of an allergic reaction related to hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, tongue, throat, lips. Consult your doctor if you have any following problems:-

• Diarrhea that is watery or bloody, serve stomach pain
• Jaundice(yellowing of the skin or eyes)
• Skin rashes, numbness, serve tingling or bruising
• Seizure (black-out or convulsions)
• Kidney problems such as painful or difficult urination, little or no urination, feeling tired or short of breath, swelling in your feet or ankles.

Unusual or unpleasant taste in your mouth, Nausea, vomiting, diaper rash in an infant taking liquid cefuroxime.

• Cefuroxime is basically used to cure certain infections caused by bacteria, such as bronchitis(infection of the airway tubes leading to the lungs), gonorrhea(a sexually transmitted disease), Lyme disease (an infection that may develop after a person is bitten by a tick), an infection of the throat, skin, ears, tonsils, and urinary tract.
• Cefuroxime comes in a class of medication called cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by terminating the growth of bacteria. Antibiotics include cefuroxime will not work for flu, colds, or any other viral infections.
