Cepodoxime Proxetil 50 MG,100 MG / 200 MG (SCODOX)

This medicine is used to cure a large variety of bacterial infections. It is also known as a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria present in your body. Cefpodoxime Proxetil will not work for viral infections(such as common cold, flu).

You must not take this medicine if you are allergic to cefpodoxime Proxetil and to other antibiotics like cephalosporin and others are as follow:-

• Cefazolin(Ancef)
• Cefotetan(Cefotan)
• Cefditoren(Spectracef)
• Cefadroxil(Duricef)
• Cefaclor(Raniclor)
• Cefprozil(Cefzil)
• Ceftibuten(Cedax)
• Cefuroxime(Ceftin)
• Cephalexin(Keflex)
• Cephradine(Velosef)

You need to make sure Cefpodoxime Proxetil is safe for you, consult your doctor if you ever had:-

• An allergy to any drugs(especially penicillins)
• Kidney disease

You need to get emergency medical help if you see any signs of an allergic reaction like swelling in your face or throat, difficulty breathing, hives, or a serve reaction such as sore throat, fever, burning in your eyes, skin pain, red or purple skin rash which spreads and causes blistering and peeling.

Call your doctor if you are experiencing any signs of the following mentioned side effects:-

• Diarrhea that is watery or bloody and serves stomach pain
• Fever, rash or itching, joint pain, swollen glands, or general ill feeling
• Pounding heartbeats or fluttering in your chest
• Shortness of breath
• A seizure

• Diaper rash in an infant using cefpodoxime Proxetil
• Vaginal itching or discharge
• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
• Stomach pain, headache
