You must not use Deflazacort if you are allergic to it and this medicine should not be given to children younger than 2 years. Deflazacort oral suspension contains ingredients that can cause serious side effects or death in premature babies or young kids.

Tell your doctor if you ever had: any type of bacterial, viral, fungal, or parasite infection

High blood pressure, heart problems

A blood clot or a heart stroke

Kidney disease

Liver disease

Fluid retention

A stomach or intestinal disorder

Liver disease- especially hepatitis B

An ileostomy or a colostomy

Cataracts, glaucoma, or herpes infection of the eyes

Diabetes

A nerve-muscle disorder such as myasthenia gravis

Low bone mineral density

Any problem with your thyroid, adrenal gland, or pituitary gland

Defrich 6mg syrup belongs to a group of medicines known as steroids. This medicine is used for the treatment of various diseases and conditions such as asthma, cancer, allergic conditions, rheumatic disorder, and skin and eye disorders.

Defrich 6mg syrup works by inhibiting the release of substances that cause the problem of swelling or by changing how the immune system works. This medicine can be taken on an empty stomach or after food. Taking the medicine regularly at the right times increases its effectiveness and try to take medicines on time until your doctor makes any changes in dosage or tells you to stop taking it.

Call your doctor at once if you are experiencing the following side effects:-

Ongoing or serve diarrhea

Any kind of skin rash

Tunnel vision, eye pain, seeing halos around lights, and blurred vision.

Swelling in your feet, hands, or lower legs

Serve muscle weakness

decreased adrenal gland hormones--weakness, diarrhea, menstrual changes, skin discoloration, craving salty foods, nausea, and feeling light-headed;

increased adrenal gland hormones--weight gain in your face and upper back, increased body hair, tiredness, mood changes, menstrual changes, slow wound healing, skin discoloration, acne, thinning skin, sexual changes;

high blood sugar-- increased urination, dry mouth, increased thirst, fruity breath odor; or

low potassium level--leg cramps, constipation, irregular heartbeats, muscle weakness, fluttering in your chest, increased thirst or urination, numbness or tingling, or limp feeling.

Deflazacort can cause health issues involving the growth in children. Consult with your doctor if your child is not growing at a normal rate while using deflazacort.
