Rabeprazole-20mg oral tablet is a prescription drug that is available as a generic drug. It comes as an oral capsule. Both rabeprazole tablets and capsules are delayed-release forms which mean the medication is slowly released into your body over time.
This medicine is used to treat duodenal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease(GRED), and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a condition where the stomach produces too much acid. Rabeprazole might also be used together with antibiotics(such as amoxicillin, clarithromycin) to cure ulcers associated with infection caused by H.pylori bacteria. It is a proton pump inhibitor(PPI) that decreases the amount of acid produced by the stomach.
RIPRA capsule is a medicine that reduces the excess amount of acid produced in your stomach. It is used for curing acid-related diseases of the stomach and intestine such as peptic ulcer diseases, reflux, and some other stomach conditions related to excessive acid production.
Rabeprazole is used to treat various gastrointestinal(GI) conditions which includes:-
- Heartburn and other symptoms are related to gastroesophageal reflux disease(GRED). It occurs when acid in your stomach reserves into the esophagus(the tube that connects the mouth to the stomach). This can cause a burning feeling in the chest or throat, burping, or a sore taste in the mouth.
- Duodenal ulcers(sores in the first part of the small intestine), including ulcers that are caused by the bacteria known as H.Pylori.
- Conditions that cause the stomach to make excess acid. These include a rare condition called Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Some common side effects of rabeprazole are not experiencing by everyone. But if the mild side effects occur they will go within a few days or when your body used to it. If don’t go away then consult your doctor. Side effects are as follow:-
- Sore throat
- Headache
- Pain in the abdomen(stomach area)
- Gas
- Infection
- Constipation
- Diarrhea

- Muscle weakness

- Raised, scaly, red, purple, or red rash, on your body
The systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE). Symptoms are:-
- Fever
- Weight loss
- Blood clots
- Tiredness
- Heartburn
The way to take this medicine is oral which means it can be taken by mouth.
