Telmisartan 40 MG (Alu Alu) (TELIN-40)

The effective point of Telmisartan is to treat high blood pressure(hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps in the prevention of strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.

Telmisartan is a part of a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers(ARBs). It works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can flow in a smooth way. This lowers blood pressure and increases the supply of oxygen and blood to the heart.

Mostly the side effects do not need any kind of medical attention and vanish as your body adjusts to the medicine. You need to talk to your doctor if you have any of the following conditions:-

• Sinus infection
• Upper respiratory tract infection
• Back pain
• Diarrhea

Dizziness or lightheadedness may occur as your body adjusts to the medicine. If you feel the condition is worse, consult your doctor immediately.

To reduce the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness, get you slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.

Consult your doctor immediately if you have any serious side effects such as fainting, symptoms of a high potassium blood level(include muscle weakness, slow/irregular heartbeat). A very serious allergic reaction to this medication is rare.

You need to get medical heal promptly if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including rash, itching/swelling(especially of the throat/tongue/face), serve dizziness, trouble breathing.
