Telmisartan 40 MG & Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 MG (Alu Alu) (TELIN-H)

Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic(water pill) that helps to prevent your body from absorbing too much salt, which could cause fluid retention. It is used to cure high blood pressure(Hypertension). Hydrochlorothiazide is also used to treat fluid retention(edema) in people with congestive heart failure, kidney disorders, or cirrhosis of the liver, or edema caused by taking steroids or estrogen.

The effective point of Telmisartan is to treat high blood pressure(hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps in the prevention of strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.

Telmisartan is a part of a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers(ARBs). It works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can flow in a smooth way. This lowers blood pressure and increases the supply of oxygen and blood to the heart.

It is used to treat high blood pressure and at the same time, it is used to treat swelling that is caused by heart failure, liver damage(cirrhosis), and taking medications called corticosteroids or estrogens. It also helps to treat swelling that is caused by kidney problems. This medication might be used in combination or alone.

Mostly the side effects do not need any kind of medical attention and vanish as your body adjusts to the medicine. You need to talk to your doctor if you have any of the following conditions:-

• Sinus infection
• Upper respiratory tract infection
• Back pain
• Diarrhea

• Dizziness or lightheadedness may occur as your body adjusts to the medicine. If you feel the condition is worse, consult your doctor immediately.
• To reduce the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness, get you slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
• Consult your doctor immediately if you have any serious side effects such as fainting, symptoms of a high potassium blood level(include muscle weakness, slow/irregular heartbeat). A very serious allergic reaction to this medication is rare.
• You need to get medical heal promptly if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including rash, itching/swelling(especially of the throat/tongue/face), serve dizziness, trouble breathing.

Get emergency help if notice any signs of allergic reactions such as swelling of your face, lips, throat, or tongue. Consult your doctor if you have:-

• Jaundice(yellowing of the skin or eyes)
• Eye pain, vision problems
• A light-headed feeling
• Pale skin, unusual bleeding(nose, vagina, mouth, or rectum)
• Shortness of breath, cough with foamy mucus, chest pain, or wheezing
• Signs of electrolyte imbalance are thirst, drowsiness, lack of energy, dry mouth, restlessness, muscle pain, fast heart rate, nausea and vomiting, little or no urine.
• Serve skin reactions which are sore throat, fever, swelling in your face or tongue, skin pain followed by a red or purple skin rash that spreads(especially in the upper body or face), burning in your eyes, and cause peeling and blistering
